Description
This bat is a rare black Louisville Slugger from the NY Yankees 1996 World Series. These limited bats were only produced from 1934 to 1998 and were given to only the players, coaches, team executives and baseball dignitaries as a keepsake for a World Championship. They include all the names or signatures of the players, coaches and executives of the 1996 World Series team, either laser engraved or set signature. This 1996 Yankee team bat has 16 set signatures which include: Joe Torre, Wade Boggs, Don Zimmer, Chris Chambliss, Paul A O’Neil, Jose Cardinal, Willie Randolph, Tony Cloninger, Tim "Rock" Raines, Mariano Duncan, Darryl Strawberry, Mike Aldrete, Bob Watson, Joe Girardi, Tino Martinez and Doc Gooden. It also has 24 names engraved. They include: Derek Jeter, Steve Donohue, Graeme Lloyd, Jeff Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Andy Pettitte, David Weathers, Luis Sojo, John Wetteland, Cecil Fielder, Andy Fox, Ruben Rivera, Charlie Hayes, David Cone, Jimmy Key, Mel Stottlemyre, Bernie Williams, Rob Cucuzza, Lou Cucuzza, Brian Boehringer, Gene Monahan, Mariano Rivera, Jim Leyritz and Nick Priore. This rare team bat is in mint or near mint condition. It's fair market value is approximately $3000. In this last season at Yankee Stadium, it's a special showcase piece of memorabilia from one of the most memorable seasons in the Yankee's storied history and one of the most exciting World Series victories.
